1. Calcium
Teeth are a type of bone, which means that they need calcium to stay strong. Low-fat dairy products are among the best sources of calcium, but you can also get plenty of this mineral by eating sardines, dark-green leafy vegetables, and calcium-fortified juices. Because vitamin D is needed to properly deposit calcium into your teeth and bones, look for milks and juices that are fortified or spend about 15 minutes a day in the sun.

2. Vitamin C
Vitamin C is essential for connective tissue health, which means that inadequate vitamin C intake can result in bleeding or sore gums. Look for citrus fruits, strawberries, papayas, kiwis, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and bell peppers.

3. Fluoride
This is a naturally occurring mineral that is added to tap water, and it works by combating oral bacteria and hardening your teeth. If you are drinking bottled water rather than tap water, you may not be getting enough fluoride. Let us know so that we can determine if supplements may be needed.
